- Change the air filters: As with any appliance that goes through temperature changes as it works, residue dirt builds up and needs to be collected in the filters. Changing the air filters ensures that the system remains unobstructed from the inside.
- Clean Condenser: The condenser is the heart of your air conditioner, so if it’s clogged up with dust and debris, the cool air cannot be pushed through the air vents. With a soft-bristled brush you can gently clean the condenser, or if you have a blower, you can just blow the dust and debris off.
- Straighten Condenser fins: With time and the constant temperature fluctuations, the metal sheets, known as fins – bend, which also restricts the airflow through the system. Using a blunt object, you can gently straighten the fins out to ensure optimum airflow.
